Faye Carruthers is a broadcaster and voiceover artist specialising in sport but equally at home covering news and current affairs.
She’s the voice of many big brands and voices corporate videos, commercials and e-learning modules for blue-chip clients such as John Lewis, Sky, Amazon, Argos and Disney.
Faye is a narrator on a wide variety of football programmes aired on Sky Sports, BT Sport and Premier League Productions and can also be heard on Channel 5.
With a fully equipped voiceover studio just outside of Wimbledon in south-west London, Faye’s love of reading and audio has seen her branching into the world of audiobooks.
After graduating in Broadcast Journalism from Nottingham Trent University, Faye started her career as a runner for Sky Sports before progressing through the ranks and going on to work as a news editor and reporter.
Faye has a passion for radio and audio and after working for Sky News Radio, spent 4 years at talkSPORT as the newsreader on the Alan Brazil Sports Breakfast before moving on to work for BBC 5 live as a news and sport presenter up in Salford.
That led on to her becoming one of the regular reporters on BBC Sport’s Final Score providing round the grounds updates for both Final Score and 5 live.
Faye was then asked to return to the breakfast radio airwaves and joined the award-winning Christian O’Connell breakfast show on Absolute Radio in 2014. She spent 2.5 years as part of the “Groovy Gang” being the voice of reason as well as sport.
The past 5 years has also seen Faye working for the Premier League’s global content service – Premier League Productions. As a reporter and presenter, she travels the country interviewing players and managers for Premier League News and Matchday Live as well as narrating Premier League World that airs weekly on Sky Sports and BT Sport.
Faye is also lucky enough to be part of the presentation team for the award-winning Wimbledon Radio Channel every year, bringing tennis fans all the latest from the Championships.
As well as a presenter for hire and a voice for hire, Faye has hosted a number of live corporate events and is an engaging host.
Outside of work, Faye loves sport and is a massive Luton Town fan. She plays a lot of netball, enjoys yoga and health and fitness and is always looking out for the latest fad. If not in a gym or studio, you’ll find Faye in a pub – she loves a quiz and also to travel. She is gluten and nut free (not by choice!) and will happily bore you senseless about the best places for allergy-sufferers to get brunch!
We welcome Faye to MKBAA 2019.
